ECOberfest will be held Sunday, September 30, 2012 from 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. on April 22, 2012. A festive evening showcasing Sustainable Resources within our Watershed will include a seasonal feast of local sustainable foods prepared by World Bank Senior Executive Chef Bruce R. Barnes, eco libations, live music, raffle prizes and gift bags. The event will be held in Takoma Park, directly behind Long Branch Creek and a recreational trail, in case you would like to ride your bike to the event!
Mission: To connect people to the sustainable resources, initiatives, creativity and entrepreneurship throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed while demonstrating how everyone can lead more sustainable lifestyles, strengthen our regional green ECOnomy and contribute to a healthier community. We encourage support for fair trade businesses as a primary source for products not grown or made in this region.
