Guide to Starting Community Gardens in D.C.
Neighborhood Farm

Teaching people to grow organic vegetables in the city by cultivating a resourceful community of adults and teenagers working together to engage in small-scale food production in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Neighborhood Farm Initiative's garden site is located near Fort Totten metro station (red, yellow, and green line trains, many bus lines). From the station, walk to the left (north) out of the station and then turn left (west) down a paved path across a grassy field across from the parking lots -- you'll see them just over the crest of the hill.
