Plan your errands wisely by keeping a list until you have 10 things to do at once Find that commercial strip where you can do multiple errands at one time and within walking distance of each other.  (Keep the list in your car or by the door.) Give preference to an area that also has a farmers market.  Don't forget to reward yourself on that trip with something special for being green :)  If you're about to get in the car to do one single errand, tell yourself that you can use that time more wisely. Better yet, carpool with a friend and make a fun afternoon of it together. Organize a bike ride or walk with your neigbhors, co-workers or community group.
